RTVSE ("we", "the service") provides an SMS-based sick-call and substitute-dispatch system for school bus operators. This policy explains what information the service handles and why.

1. What we collect

RTVSE handles only the basic operational information a dispatch office needs to run its routes:

The service does not collect student data. It is not designed to store or process information about students, and districts must not send student data through it.

2. How we use it

3. Text messaging (SMS)

By participating in RTVSE, drivers, substitutes, and dispatch staff consent to receiving text messages related to dispatch activity — including sick-call confirmations, dispatch requests, and coverage notices. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any RTVSE message to opt out of that number's SMS traffic; standard carrier rates may apply. Reply HELP for assistance.

4. Where data is processed

During pilot deployment, dispatch processing runs on infrastructure controlled by the district (self-hosted). RTVSE does not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Retention

Dispatch records are retained only as long as needed for the district's operational and audit requirements, then deleted or archived per district policy.
